What inventions are shaping our future? A search on YouTube will give you plenty of ideas. Next week you're going to make a presentation about an invention.

1. Find a video about an invention on YouTube. You can look anywhere you want, but I found a lot on this YouTube channel.

2. Take note of some of the important information about the invention. What problem does it solve? Who is it for? What technology does it use? Who endorses it? Are there any potential risks? Is it available now? How much does it cost?

3. In class, you will present this invention to your classmates in a short speech. If your speech is convincing, they will probably buy the product from you and you will make lots of money.

Here's an example from this video:

1. The invention: Miito
2. Problem: People always fill electric kettles with too much water, which wastes lots of electricity.
3. Who is it for? People who drink tea, moms who want to heat baby food, people who make a pot of tea for guests, tech nerds.
4. What technology does it use? It creates an electromagnetic field between the rod and disc. Wow, science!
5. Potential risks? You could burn yourself with a hot drink, I suppose.
6. Is it available now? No, they have finished funding and are looking for customers.
